First Annual Code for fun Gala - Saturday March 9, 2019

Register Here Today

Code for fun team is inviting you to join us for our First Annual Code for fun Gala and Dinner Fundraiser.

In Silicon Valley, most of the public school students graduate from High School without any exposure to computer science.

Our goal is to have all K-12 students receive exposure to computer science to achieve a well-balanced 21st century education.

Our solution is to help reach out to more students with our 3 milestones:

1) Content: Curate, package and distribute the best curricula for students/teachers.

2) Community Building: Bring CS classes to the communities: in the schools, clubs, librairies by training mentors, teachers, coaches.

3) Free enrichment classes: Allow more participation to Code for fun programs by offering scholarships to underserved students

Code for fun is hosting its First Annual Fundraiser Gala at the Mitchell Park Community Center in the "El Palo Alto Ballroom". Doors will open at 6:30pm. Fancy dinner with great food and wines will be served. Computer Science speakers will share their experience and some of our "Hack High School" students will showcase their projects.

Example of a program offered by Code for fun

Code for fun, in its effort to get more students learning important Computer Science skills has created a 100% free coding program for High School students called: "Hack High School".

From September to June, High School students explore and perfect their coding skills while collaborating with their peers and Code fur fun "Hack High School" mentors.

A portion of them also prepare with our team their Advance Placement program for Computer Science Principles (APCSP). As this AP it is not offered into all High Schools, through our "Hack High School" program, we, at Code for fun, give to all students the opportunity to present this APCSP exam at no charge.

Last year was a success and this year is going even better with more than 180 High School students from the Bay Area actively participating to "Hack High School".

Thank you for your participation and support of our 100% free coding program for High School students! If you want to support even more our "Hack High School" program, you can DONATE when you click on "Tickets".

All donations are tax-deductible as Code for fun is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization.
