Junior Programmers

  • Learn to create your first programs using Scratch Jr.!

  • Start with making a character dance to producing a full simulated environment. In this introductory sequence of projects for Scratch Jr., we gradually introduce a variety of practices and concepts while simultaneously introducing young coders to a variety of blocks and tools in Scratch Jr.

  • Each of the projects is aligned with the algorithms and programming standards developed by the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA).

Computer Science Genius

Become a super hero by discovering the power of programming. Find out what computers can do and how powerful they can be.

By the end of this program, students will

- Solve puzzles using block programing on the computer and through interactive “unplugged” activities (without a computer).

- Learn binary code and programming concepts (sequence, conditional, loops...)

- Be introduced to the concept of a function.

- Understand the components of a computer and what they are used for.

  • Explore, imagine and create!

  • Start programming using Scratch (from MIT Labs) and create digital art.

  • Using programming language, campers will learn computational thinking skills and put their imagination to work to create really fun drawings!

Code your Games with Scratch - Beg./Int.

  • Create your own interactive games using Scratch Programming language!

  • Campers will learn the basics of game design and features necessary to make a fun and interactive game with controls, scores, multiple levels, and user interface.

  • For intermediate levels, campers will get additional challenges to solve and will learn new concepts that they can integrate in a game of their own design.

  • Plus, all campers will learn how to share games online and to provide feedback to peers.

Create your own webpages! Welcome to the magical world of <HTML>!

  • Campers will be linking to other sites; learning how to add images; collecting information from visitors.

  • They will also be introduced to JavaScript programming to make their website pages more interactive. At the end of the program your child will have a website of their own design.

  • Children must be computer literate (master typing and use of the mouse and trackpad is a must).

  • Children’s creativity is endless. If kids engage in design from an early age, they will be able to expand their creative potential. They are able to imagine things that go beyond expectations. Learning HTML is a fun way for kids to express themselves.

Cybersecurity - White Hackers

  • What exactly is the internet? How is it built, and is it secure? Students become aware of their digital-selves online and understand how to protect their identity and their data. They also learn how data can be encrypted and that cryptography was used way before computers were invented. How do companies secure their data and what exactly are malware, viruses, and anti-viruses?

  • During this program, they will also learn about the power of algorithms and how they can get to the same outcome using different solutions.

  • Finally, students are introduced to programming languages to create an encrypter/decrypter program. They send each others coded messages and become cyber super hero.

  • Cybersecurity is a important subject in today's society and provides multiple career opportunities. As teenagers spend majority of their time on the internet, it is crucial that they are aware of how to preserve their true identity and keep their data safe.
